Details of forthcoming funerals, please respect the families’ wishes in relation to attendance, flowers and donations.

Died peacefully at home, Holly House, Belong, on Wednesday 13th September 2017, aged 85.  Much loved mother, sister, grandma, aunty and friend.  Service of Committal at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday 13th October at 1.20pm followed by a Celebration of Jean's Life at Gawsworth Methodist Chapel at 2.15pm.  Please wear bright colours.  Family flowers only but donations welcome for Belong, Macclesfield and for Médecins Sans Frontières.

On Tuesday, 5th September 2017, Trevor aged 78 years, peacefully in the East Cheshire Hospice, after an illness borne with much courage and dignity, in the presence of his loving family. Beloved and loving Husband of Kath, much loved Dad of Angela and Rachel, adored Grandpa of Harry, Sophie, Freddie, Tom, Lucy, and Oliver, a much loved Father-in-Law to Chris and Andrew and dear Brother of the late David. Trevor was the former proprietor of Bayley's Toy Shops and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. The Funeral Service will take place at 3.00pm on Thursday, 21st September at Sutton St James Parish Church followed by Interment in the Churchyard. Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice.

On 20th September 2017, peacefully in the East Cheshire Hospice, Alison aged 51 years.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday, 12th October at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice or the Alzheimer's Society.

On 28th August 2017 peacefully in Hospital, David aged 69 years.  David will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Wednesday, 27th September at 2.00 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of The Davis Lewis Centre.

On 4th September 2017 peacefully in a local care home, Basil aged 91 years.  The dearly loved Husband of the late Marjorie, beloved and much loved Father, a cherished Grandfather, a treasured Great Grandfather and a much loved Brother.  Basil will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday, 22nd September at 12.00 noon.

On 18th September 2017 peacefully at home, Jonathan aged 53 years.  The dearly loved Son of the late Ron and Gladys Browne of Thorny Road, Douglas.  Jonathan will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday, 5th October at 1.20 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the David Lewis Centre.

On Thursday 14th September 2017, peacefully in the East Cheshire Hospice, Dennis aged 73 years.  Beloved and loving Husband of Denise, loving Father of Helen, Louise and Step-Father to Paul loving and devoted Grandfather of Lucie, Amy, Jake, Larney and Callen, much loved Father-in-Law to Mike and dear Brother of Margaret.  Dennis will be missed greatly by all who knew him.  A Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving will take place at 11.15 a.m. on Friday, 29th September at Alderley Edge Methodist Church.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Haematology & Transplant Support or the East Cheshire Hospice.

Peacefully on Sunday 1st October 2017, at Mount Hall Nursing Home, Bollington, Annie aged 98 years. The dearly loved Wife of the late James William Cartlidge, a much-loved Mother of Nigel and loving Mother in law of Susan. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday 26th October at 11.20 am. Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations may be sent for the East Cheshire Hospice.

 

On 5th September 2017 peacefully in Hospital, Kathleen aged 96 years of Macclesfield.  The dearly loved Mother of Irene, David and Tony, a cherished Grandmother and Great Grandmother and a much loved Mother-in-Law.  Kathleen will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all her loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday, 28th September at 2.00 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the British Heart Foundation.

On 2nd October 2017, peacefully in Hospital, Tom aged 91 years.  The dearly loved Husband of the late Beryl, beloved and much loved Father of Anne and Roger, a cherished Grandfather and a loved Father-in-Law and Brother.  Tom will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service will take place at the Parish Church of St James, Sutton on Monday, 23rd October at 2.00 p.m. followed by committal at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Guide Dogs.

On 17th September 2017, peacefully in hospital, Emilio aged 72 years. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 9.20 a.m. on Monday, 9th October at Macclesfield Crematorium. Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of The Christie.

On Friday 15th September 2017, peacefully in hospital, John aged 87 years.

Loving Husband of the late Clare, loving Father of Jane and Rebecca, loving Grandfather of Freddie, Georgia and Oscar, and much loved Brother of the late Joy.

John will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Peacefully on Thursday 28th September 2017, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Margaret aged 88 years of Congleton and formerly Macclesfield. The dearly loved Wife of the late Kasmierz, a much-loved Mother of John, Christopher, Andrew, Christina, Dominic and Anna. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by all her loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday 23rd October at 11.20 am. On 24th September 2017, peacefully at home, John aged 88 years.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 10.40 a.m. on Friday, 13th October 2017 at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Alzheimer's Society.

 

 

On Sunday, 24th September 2017, peacefully at home, Judy aged 80 years.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 1.20 p.m. on Tuesday, 10th October at Macclesfield Crematorium followed by a Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving at Great Warford Baptist Chapel at 3.00 p.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of David Lewis.

 

 

Peacefully on Wednesday 4th October 2017, Kenneth William aged 92 years. The much-loved Husband of the late Cynthia May, a loving Father of Valerie and Sonia. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday 20th October at 2.00 pm.

On Monday 16th October 2017, peacefully in a local care home, Gaye aged 71 years.  A Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving will take place at 12.15 p.m. on Friday, 3rd November at Christ Church, Woodford.  Family flowers only, by request.

 

 

Peacefully on Wednesday 11th October 2017, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Anthony aged 77 years of Chelford. The dearly loved Husband of Barbara, a much-loved Father of David, a loving Father in Law of Rachel. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday 2nd November at 11.20 am. Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations may be sent for The Christie or Parkinson’s UK.

On 13th September 2017 peacefully in Hospital, Bill aged 93 years.  The dearly loved Husband of the late Iris, beloved and much loved Father of the late Christine, a cherished Grandfather and a treasured Great Grandfather.  Bill will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday, 2nd October 2017 at 10.40 a.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the British Heart Foundation.

On 31st August 2017 peacefully at home, Patrick aged 67 years.  Patrick will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday, 18th September at 9.20 a.m.

Peacefully on Sunday 1st October 2017, at Prestbury House Care Home, Doreen aged 87 years. The dearly loved Wife of the late Peter Alan O’ Mahony, a much-loved Mother of Catharine, Susan and the late Chris. She will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by her loving family and Grand Children. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to all the staff at Prestbury House, for their care and dedication. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday 19th October at 2.40 pm. On 4th October 2017 peacefully at in a local care home, Reg aged 88 years.  The dearly loved Husband of Sybil, beloved and much loved Father of Susan, Richard and Steven and a cherished Grandfather.  Reg will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday, 27th October 2017 at 11.20 a.m.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the Alzheimer’s Society.

 

In tragic circumstances on Wednesday 4th October 2017, Stig aged 44 years of Ilford, Essex and formerly Macclesfield. The much loved and loving Husband of Laura, a dearly loved Son of Judith and the late William, Stepson of Ian, Brother of Mark and Step Brother of Gill and Richard. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends. Peter attended Athey Street and Tytherington Schools, he was a proud member of Bravo Troop Territorial Army, Cheshire Regiment and 222 Signal Squadron (1992) and Operation Resolute Bosnia (1996). The family would be pleased to welcome all those that knew Peter to attend his Funeral. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday 27th October at 2.40 pm.  Flowers or if desired donations may be sent for the Royal British Legion.

In sad circumstances on 8th October 2017, Robert aged 68 years.  The dearly loved Husband of Sylvia, a beloved and much loved Father of Angie, Dave and Pete.  Robert will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday, 26th October at 2.40 p.m.  Family flowers only, and no donations, by request of the family.

On 1st October 2017, peacefully in hospital, John aged 70 years.  The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at 2.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 18th October at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Leukaemia Care or Parkinson's UK.

Peacefully on Friday 6th October 2017, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, David aged 89 years of Macclesfield. He will be sadly missed and most fondly remembered by his loving family and friends. The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday 30th October at 12 Noon. Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations may be sent for Age Concern.
