I would like to thanks all the team at Andrew Smiths for their impeccable attention to detail from start to finish of my husband’s recent funeral. Richard and Julie Ann were always on hand to guide me through everything and responded promptly and compassionately to all aspects of the arrangements.

I would not hesitate in recommending such a professional and compassionate funeral directors.

My darling wife Kate passed just before Christmas. A difficult time. We were recommended to use ASFS by our neighbour, district nurse and GP. From the outset the team at ASFS were compassionate, caring, kind, and thoroughly professional. They gave help, support, and practical suggestions throughout on how best to create the funeral we wanted, giving emotional support to myself, son, and daughter that was priceless. The funeral itself was flawless, attended by friends and relatives from all over the British Isles and watched by family in Australia and Angola. Everyone commented on what a beautiful service it was. ‘Thank You ASFS’ doesn’t do justice to the service we received. It was exceptional

We will be for ever grateful , that my sister Pamela’s Solicitor recommended that we should use the Funeral Services of Andrew Smith , based in Macclesfield , Cheshire. . My sister Pamela , sadly had no surviving family members ,apart from myself , and I , her sole remaining sister live in Exeter Devon. An immediate obstacle you would have thought. This fortunately proved NOT to be the case Caring, compassionate telephone calls, sensitive email exchanges where we were able to view possible choices of coffins, flower arrangements, and even a list of possible venues for a gathering together after the Funeral Service. were promptly suggested. When we eventually met with the several personnel involved with these arrangements it was as if we knew them, each and everyone , personally as friends. Nothing was too much trouble and their guidance gave me confidence to cope with the occasion .calmly. Indeed , my husband and I were so completely content with their services that I did ask Richard Crossland if there would be any chance of his Company .acting for ourselves , down in Devon , when the needs arose ?! . (Probably we both had a twinkle in our eyes at the time ?!) However, I had much more than a twinkle in my eye when I was handed a most unexpected pretty carrier bag , holding some thoughtful memorabilia of the occasion, and an amazing arrangement of beautiful, fragrant flowers,, which even today , two weeks after my sister’s funeral, are bringing us joy .. Our heartfelt thanks to you all.

From the moment the Hearse arrived at the house, the support, for the bereaved, by the Funeral Director and his Ushers, was of sympathy & kindness. They came into the house with condolence tributes, and then led the family out to the waiting Hearse. Throughout the time in the Church and later at the crematorium , the service provided, was professional throughout.. Many thanks.

I would like to thank all the team at Andrew Smith, particularly Richard (Eric) for the kind caring and professional way they handled Trevor’s funeral , which put me at ease during a very difficult time.

A sensitive and complicated family situation was navigated to perfection. We could not recommend more highly. The team went above and beyond what we could have hoped for in bringing together an exemplary service with every detail thought through and planned for. It truly felt like we were supported every step of the way. A heartfelt thank you.

Our son a healthy, fit 47 year old passed away at a young age. We were shattered and did not know which way to turn and how to move forward. Andrew Smith were brilliant every question answered in a practical but caring way. Everything was well organised and taken care of and all our wishes were respected. All the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. I would wholeheartedly recommend Andrew Smith as he will organise it all from start to finish.

As a church warden, I officiate at many funerals. Above all others, Andrew Smith Funeral Services of Macclesfield have shown great compassion, professionalism and attention to detail. They are very thoughtful, caring and considerate and provide such support to people when they are most in need.

Thank you to Andrew and the team for the compassion you showed to our family on what was a very distressing day. I can only say that your help and advice prior to the funeral was greatly appreciated . From the moment we met with the two gentlemen who took Mum to the funeral home I knew we had made the right choice; dignity, respect and professional. Discussing the funeral with Andrew was completed sensitively and compassionately. His immense experience allowed him to suggest solutions to problems created by holding a funeral some distance away. It felt like Mum’s funeral was their only priority. Everything had to be perfect. Angela was immense support and a delightful point of contact- nothing was too much trouble. On the day everything went smoother than we could have wished for with everyone attending the funeral commenting on their professional, dignified and sensitive handling of the day. Not one fault!
